What Do You Think of Blog-zilla?

I’m trying to decide if Blog-zilla is for real or a some type of blogspam program. I’d love to hear your thoughts, particularly if you’ve tried the thing.

  1. It is hard to tell, but they certainly go out of their way to tell people that’s not what it’s for. And they claim they’ll kill the account of anyone who tries to use it that way. Nonetheless, the ability to include rss feeds in the content does make it a bit suspect.

    On the other hand, it’s a service rather than a program, so it should be possible for them to do quality monitoring. The only question is – do they actually do it?

  2. I am suspicious because they chose to leave a cleverly disguised, but still fairly obvious piece of comment-spam on my blog, extolling the virtues of their product.

    Spam is spam, and if they’ll resort to that tactic for selling their wares I see no reason to assume they won’t allow people to use their products the same way.

    We’ll see, I guess..

    I noticed you’ve posted questions and comments about software developed by me: Blog-zilla.com

    I always attempt to respond to such posts personally because despite all my efforts to keep the slate clean, a few misinformed and irresponsible sites (not businessblogconsulting.com) have posted assumptive or incorrect information about this professional multi-blog software.

    I am an established internet marketing consultant with a track record of teaching entrepreneurs, bloggers, and business professionals approaches to online marketing without the hype, the spam, and the stupid-tricks that way too many marketers employ.

    Blog-zilla is designed NOT for the purpose of creating lots of blogs just for quantity sake, rather it is designed to personalize a publishers message (content) to various niche audiences.

    Too many bloggers and businesses assume their content is good for all; they use what I call a “stretch-pants” philosophy…  one size fits all.  When you think about that, that approach could even be considered disrespectful, silly, or perhaps lazy on the part of the publisher.  While there are many, many fine content publishers that need only one blog; there are also many, many publishers that should personalize their content for their numerous readership groups.

    Blog-zilla is a web-based tool that assists in this personalization while expanding a bloggers reach to target markets of their choice.

    There was a comment on your site (here) that stated because Blog-zilla had the capability of pulling an RSS feed that this somehow made it spam-ware?  Well, if that were the case, all sites with an RSS feed augmenting their content would be spam.  And besides, Blog-zilla does not publish dynamic RSS feeds, only static RSS feeds and these feeds must be accompanied by original content or subscribers are in violation of the Blog-zilla license agreement.

    All subscribers to Blog-zilla are screened through an application process, then they enter a trial period where they evaluate Blog-zilla and as they multi-blog, Blog-zilla evaluates the trial subscriber.  Blog-zilla only charges $1 for this trial or evaluation period.

    All users are on a web-based system and are subject to termination, thus no remote unsupervised software is floating around in the hands of bottom feeders.  If a user violates our policy (which is linked off Blog-zilla.com if anyone wants to read it) they are history.  No riff-raff needed or allowed.  Period.

    Finally, all users go through extensive training, not only in multi-blogging techniques, but in clean, professional internet marketing strategies.

    I originally created this multi-blogging system for my personal use.  After attempting to run ONE blog and attempting the “stretch-pants” method of writing and publishing, I realized the challenge.  I had over 100 audiences that I consulted for, some women, some men, some old, some young, some in sales, some in network marketing, some in party plan etc etc.

    Mary Kay reps would not read a blog talking about Tom Boy Tools, and guys doing business online did not want “Internet Marketing Tips for Woman in Business”…  Either I personalized my internet marketing tips blog content or I continued in my “stretch-pants.”  I bothered to find a solution, and it just happened to be one many other bloggers found useful too.

    Blog-zilla is profession and respectable software that in the hands of a responsible publisher is a valuable tool for both the user and in the end, the reader.
