Erin, thank you for such an insightful post. Indeed, whenever I attend a public lecture or a conference, before I go to the venure, I awlays want to know more about the speakers and if possible, other people who will attend too. What a better way to read their blogs? But the contents of today’s blogs are too varied and that’s why we need a post (maybe you can do) to teach them how to categorize and keep blogs neat and tidy.

You listed a great group of benefits to blog. Another one is that it can be so much fun and free. No editors, no English teachers, no book critics, no restrictive sponsors. Just say it like you want, appeal to those you want, and publish with a click.

Erin….I agree totally but have not seen the type of traffic that you mentioned in your post—and biy, would I love to. Any suggestions or recommendations. I;ve been doing my blog for awhile and get good feedback but still, not enough traffic:)
