		<description>thank you for shedding a light on corporate blogging. if you get IT involved up front, it will take a hell of a long time to make a blog happen. i have been trying since Oct to get a blog started in my company. Sadly, for me, I had to run my plans through the web/IT team and here it is March and we are still discussing what blog software to use. All because too many people with too many opinions can&#039;t freakin decide what to do.

If up to me, we would have installed Manila 6 months ago, had six months of learning under our belt and you would be blogging about my company, not cisco as you did in your previous post.

So, for any grassroots bloggers out there, do as Rick&#039;s friend has done...just do it, plead ignorance if necessary, but just do it! IT is not your friend, they are a bureaucratic hurdle.</description>
